Welcome to Third Street Books!

Third Street Books is located in the heart of Historic Downtown McMinnville, Oregon -- an area rich with some of the best wineries, restaurants and shopping available in the state. At Third Street Books we pride ourselves in being an active part of our community.

We are a general interest bookstore with mostly new books, but some used books as well. A great selection of magazines, cards and other unique gift items await your discovery. We welcome your special orders and are happy to offer an out-of-print book search for that elusive title!

We are open seven days a week, Monday through Saturday 10 am to 6 pm and Sundays, 10 am - 4 pm.

For our loyal customers with eReaders we are very pleased to announce that you can now purchase your e-books from us, your local independent bookstore! Please bear with us a bit as we familiarize ourselves (and you!) about this process. We know that this took longer than expected, but website stuff is hard! (Especially if your brain isn't really wired that way!)


Harris Burdick Writing Contest
Winners Announced

We had so much fun with this writing contest and hope to do another one this spring. Young writers in the community were tasked with writing a short story inspired by one of the images in Chris Van Allsburg's The Mysteries of Harris Burdick. We have some winners!
